FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
JustOS FAQ
What platform does JustOS use?
Android is the primary and long-term implementation target. Linux may be explored later, but it is not the active roadmap.
Can JustOS run normal Android apps?
Selected Android apps can be supported where they fit the in-car experience and safety requirements. JustOS also provides its own UI for core functions.
Does every user get their own profile?
Yes. The current design includes separate user profiles plus a guest mode, with per-user customization and local profile settings.
Will there be iOS support?
JustOS itself is an Android-based in-car platform. iOS support refers to future phone connectivity or companion functionality where applicable, not replacing the JustOS operating platform.
Does JustOS modify the camera feed?
The surrounding interface can use appearance filters, but front and rear camera feeds are intended to remain visually unfiltered by default.
Is JustOS finished?
No. UI prototypes and Android development are active, and features continue to be tested before hardware-wide integration.
